アクセルとREGRET 握りしめたら 揺れる街並み 私だけのFREEDOM |
Akuseru to REGRET nigirishimetara Yureru machinami watashi dake no FREEDOM |
I grasp tightly both the accelerator and my regrets The swaying cityscape becomes my own freedom |
誰よりも ずっと 遠く離れて 月は (今も) 君をまだ照らすの |
Dare yori mo zutto tooku hanarete Tsuki wa (ima mo) kimi wo mada terasu no |
Even though you're farther away from me than anyone else The moon (even now) still shines on you |
でも 涙がたくさん零れた時には 虹色の橋が私を迎え 寂しさいっぱい あふれた時には あたしに このコが ついてるの I'm loving you |
Demo namida ga takusan koboreta toki ni wa Niji iro no hashi ga watashi wo mukae Sabishisa ippai afureta toki ni wa Atashi ni kono ko ga tsuiteru no I'm loving you |
But back then, when I spilled so many tears A rainbow bridge came to greet me And when I was overwhelmed with loneliness I still had this cutie with me *(1) I'm loving you |
夜風が記憶の隙間から 紡ぐMELODY どこか遠く 失った あの日見たMEMORIES そんないつかの想いが 押し寄せて 溢れる涙 だけど今夜は良いから Midnight driving forever |
Yokaze ga kioku no sukima kara tsumugu MELODY Doko ka tooku ushinatta ano hi mita MEMORIES Sonna itsu ka no omoi ga oshiyosete afureru namida Dakedo kon'ya wa ii kara Midnight driving forever |
The night wind weaves a melody from the gaps in my memory Of the memories I saw that day, now lost somewhere far away My tears overflow as these feelings of the past surge But that's fine tonight, I'll continue my Midnight driving forever |
*(1) The original expression was "I had this child with me".
It is worth nothing that "child" here doesn't necessarly refer to a real kid, bur rather is used as an endearing term to address children, young women, small animals, or any other thing that can inspire tender affection.
In this, I belive the singer is referring to her vehicle, so I simply translated the term as "cutie", as I think this word suffices in addressing the matter satisfactorily.
